Banbury House - Waipu Cove, Northland - with Jill Shepherd - Photos: Patrick Reynolds Design evolved from admiration of the strong forms of existing stratified limestone rock on the shoreline.

Schulze House - Orakei, Auckland - with Blair Schulze - Photos: Becky Nunes A screen wall shields this new urban home on a small site from adjacent neighbours. North elevation opens to the view.

Gill/Mitchell Guest House - Te Kuiti, King Country - with Thom Gill Small house for visitors on a sheep farm. Cedar board & batten, ground concrete floors & plywood interior linings.

Island House - Waiheke Island Coastal home with southwest view and north-facing courtyard. A simple form is designed not to dominate its rural location. Secondary roof/pergola elements provide shelter and shade to the edges of the house. Completion due December 2011.

Vallancey House - Mount Manaia, Whangarei Heads Coastal home with south view and northern courtyard. Corrugated steel walls and roof, ground concrete floors & plywood interior linings. Under construction.

4i's Fitout - Ponsonby, Auckland Office fitout with custom furniture for design firm 4i's Communications.

Britomart Stage 1 - Central Auckland - with Wayne Lees One of the five winners of the first stage of open urban design competition.

Urban Design Competition Stage 2 - Devonport, Auckland First place in competition. Resulting master plan adopted by council at end of 2006 & work continues on individual parts.

Waipu House - Waipu, Northland Next to the Caledonian Rugby Grounds.

Remuera Alteration - Auckland Alteration and addition to large bungalow. Currently under construction.

Spec Houses - St Heliers, Auckland Scheme for two speculative townhouses to replace a single house.

Torpedo Bay Steps - Devonport, Auckland Urban/landscape design for public steps, shower and sea wall.

Good Solutions Guide for Apartments - Authors for 135 page design guide publication commissioned by four Auckland councils, Ministry for the Environment and Auckland Regional Council. Authored, provided diagrams and photographs.

Mixed Use Design Guide - Architectural consultants on best practice publication for North Shore City Council. Provided case studies, diagrams, photographs and advice on text.

Anzac West Precinct - Future Development Options - Takapuna, Auckland - Development of a future vision for intensification of four urban blocks adjacent to Takapuna town centre as part of a multidisciplinary team. Work initially involved facilitation of a series of workshops with councillors, community meetings, a community workshop and feasibility studies for the land-use potential of the area given certain development scenarios. We developed a vision that included a new laneway and park refurbishment and later developed a public space design to guide road engineering design. A Plan Change resulting from this work was notified towards the end of 2010.

Urban Master Plan - New Zealand City Centre Feasibility and master planning work for a CBD fringe area. Involves reworking of the existing roading network to repair pedestrian routes through the area as well as consolidating and optimising development lots.

Devonport Master Plan - Devonport, Auckland - After winning a two-stage open design competition SvB was engaged to work with North Shore City Council and the Devonport Community Board to develop a master plan for the Devonport town centre, including the waterfront and existing wharf building. Isthmus is currently documenting Marine Square and we are working on Clarence Street area.

Hurstmere Green - Takapuna, Auckland - We are currently documenting for construction this public urban park upgrade in Takapuna town centre. The design aims for a more active park by providing better connections between the park and surrounding buildings, more usable grassed areas and improved pedestrian routes. Construction is expected to begin after the Rugby World cup in 2011.

Queens Wharf Competition Finalist - Downtown Auckland - In conjunction with Construkt we were one of eight finalists in the ill-fated competition for public space and a cruise ship terminal on Queens Wharf at the bottom of Auckland's main street.

Planning For An Urban Neighbourhood - Authors for one chapter of the book Growth Misconduct? : Avoiding Sprawl & Improving Urban Intensification in New Zealand, edited by Karen Witten, Wokje Abrahamse and Keriata Stuart (New Zealand Centre for Sustainable Cities. Analysis of, and lessons learnt from, the Anzac West Precinct project.
